Black Friday is the biggest sale day of the year for retailers. So for 2014 Boom Ideanet created a TV spot that helped PetSmart differentiate from the rest of the retail category by utilizing our best asset – PETS! By using a variety of black pets, Boom helped PetSmart create a tone of fun and excitement for their BlackFriday sales event.
The spot also takes license from the week’s shopping urgency to break the mold of PetSmart’s on-going Thank You Notes Holiday Campaign. (See earlier blog entry.)
The results were impactful. The Black Friday spot helped bump PetSmart holiday sales +2.6% and average ticket increased 2.0%.
