Atlantic Coast Agency Disregards Convention.

A mid-size shop who has a long-standing client relationship with a bank recently tested the Boom model. In the wake of bank leadership changes, the shop, looking to deliver robust creative thinking and impress the new team employed the Boom model and received innovative campaign ideas.

Many agencies will identify with this mid-size shop who has a long-standing client relationship with a bank. In the wake of bank leadership changes, the shop was looking to deliver robust creative thinking and impress the new team with whom they had no rapport or established loyalty. Rather than follow convention by hiring freelancers or pressing already maxed-out FTEs to put in additional hours, the brand strategist and ECD chose to test the Boom model.

They enlisted Boom to generate a range of concepts to review and refine for research. Working from the agency brief, Boom assigned six creative teams and plotted out a sequence inviting an initial round of raw conceptual thinking. After an ECD review, Boom then incorporated a second round of refinement.

In the first round, Boom delivered 30+ core concepts. Based on agency input, the Boom teams refined and expanded the ideas into scripts, outdoor, digital banners, and more. After research, the agency was able to put together a presentation demonstrating fresh thinking and supported by consumer input.
